I am so mad!!

Marty got a call today from the apartment manager at the new place. They called our current place and were given a bad reference, so they can't rent to us.

What???

I called the new place and she told me all kinds of things that are 1) untrue and 2) illegal to tell them even if they were true.

So I called the current place. They didn't give a reference, and don't give them. Manager of current place is mad, and says she is going to call and find out who it was. She calls, and leaves the office for a few minutes.

I called the new place back. She won't tell me the name, but said it was "not a manager, but an employee." There is only one "not a manager, but an employee." It was the maintenance man. You know... the one that I am having problems with. The one who is about to lose his job because he made a rude comment about me, to me. The one who is being named in the small claims case I am bringing against this place. Yeah... that one.

Manager of new place assured me that she and the manager of current place are handling it, and that we are still accepted.

I am currently waiting to hear back from the manager of current place. I swear to you I feel like if this guy has a job on Monday I am calling a lawyer.
